I grew up in San Francisco, where my attendance at a public arts high school seeded my love for visual arts.  From there, I went to college and majored in Environmental Studies with a focus on restoration ecology. Various research projects took me from the sand dunes of Cape Cod, the blustering mountaintops in Glacier National Park, the Australian Wet Tropics, and the Munich Gravel Planes.

Since those early years, I have continued to blend my love for science with creativity.  Whether it is through work or play, I try to keep my creative roots at the heart of whatever I do. This site is a means of sharing those endeavors and connecting with collaborators on new projects.
